You’ve found the perfect new Skogman home. But what happens if you need to move into it before selling your current home? Our Guaranteed Trade-In Program is designed to protect you—so you don’t have to juggle two house payments or utility bills at once. Please note that the Trade Program is only available in the Cedar Rapids Metro area.

How It Works

  1. Tell your Skogman sales representative that you want to purchase a new home contingent upon the guaranteed sale of your existing home. We then arrange for an independent appraiser to professionally appraise your current home and issue a Guaranteed Sale Price—typically about 90% to 95% of its appraised value.
  2. We list your home with Skogman Realty and work to sell it for top dollar during the construction of your new home.
  3. If your home sells for more than the guaranteed price, you keep the difference.
  4. If your home does not sell before closing, Skogman Homes will purchase it from you at the Guaranteed Sale Price.
  5. We’ll coordinate possession dates to make your move as seamless as possible.
